Privacy statement

Who we are

inetro.net and the Inetro apps are provided by Inetro B.V. (“Inetro”, “we”, “us”), based in the Netherlands and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 42049591 (registered address: De Bloemen 16, 7943 LV Meppel). You can reach us at info@inetro.net.

This statement explains what personal data we process through the website inetro.net and when you create or use an Inetro account. When your organisation uses the Inetro apps (Dashboard, IQ, RMM, Helpdesk, Netro 365, Netro DNS, Migrate) to manage its own customers, devices and networks, your organisation decides what data goes in; for that data we act as its processor, under our Terms and the data processing agreement we make with your organisation.

What we collect on this website

Contact form

When you send the contact form we receive the name, email address, company (optional), topic and message you enter. It is sent to our own service at dashboard.inetro.net and forwarded to info@inetro.net so we can answer you. A hidden field that people never see helps us recognise automated spam. We use this to answer your question (legal basis: taking steps at your request, and our legitimate interest in replying).

Live chat

If you use the chat window, we receive the name, email address and messages you type. They go to our own service at crm.inetro.net so an engineer can reply. Your browser keeps a chat session token and the time of your first message in local storage so the conversation continues when you open another page (see Cookies). Same purpose and legal basis as the contact form.

Website analytics

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies and no local storage and does not build a profile of you; it records page views and performance data such as the page, referrer, browser and country (legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used).

Google Analytics (only with your consent)

If you allow statistics cookies in the cookie banner, Google Analytics records which pages you visit, how you reached the site, your browser and device type and your approximate location, using a cookie that tells one visit from another. Google receives your IP address and shortens it before storing it. We use the numbers to improve the site (legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time under “Cookie settings”).

Microsoft Clarity (only with your consent)

If you allow statistics cookies, Microsoft Clarity records how you use the pages — where you click, how far you scroll, and a replay of the visit — so we can see what works and what confuses people. Text you type is hidden in these recordings and the chat window is never recorded. Microsoft receives your IP address, browser and device details; recordings are kept for 30 days, aggregated heatmaps longer (legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time under “Cookie settings”).

Advertising measurement (only with your consent)

If you allow marketing cookies, Google Ads record that you visited inetro.net after seeing or clicking one of our ads, with your IP address, browser details and the pages you viewed. We use this to see which ads work and to show our ads to people who visited the site. Google and Meta are independent controllers for what they do with this data under their own privacy policies (legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time under “Cookie settings”).

Sign-up measurement (only with your consent)

When you create an Inetro account at dashboard.inetro.net, you pass once through inetro.net/signup-complete/ on the way to “Check your inbox”. If you allowed cookies, the Google tag records a visit to that page, which Google Analytics and Google Ads count as a sign-up. Your name, email address and organisation are not sent to Google. If you did not allow cookies, nothing is sent and the page only continues to the Dashboard.

Hosting and security

The website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like every web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the details of each request to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse.

Fonts

The website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google and Google receives your IP address.

Interactive demos

The product demos on this website run entirely in your browser with made-up example data. Nothing you do in a demo is sent to us.

When you have an Inetro account

To give you an account we process your name, email address, organisation, role, sign-in details (a password hash, or the Microsoft or Google account you sign in with), two-factor settings, and security records of sign-ins such as time, IP address and browser. We use them to run your account, keep it secure and contact you about the service (legal basis: performing our agreement with you or your organisation, and our legitimate interest in security). Billing details are handled by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.

The Netro phone app

The Netro app (Android and iPhone) works as an authenticator, approves sign-ins to your Inetro account and, with a Netro subscription, offers network tools. It contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking code, and sells or shares no data.

  • Authenticator codes: the secrets behind your codes are stored only in your phone's secure storage. They and the codes never leave the phone.
  • Linking the phone and approving sign-ins: when you link the phone to your account, the app creates a key pair on the phone and sends us only the public key, with a device name you can see in your account. Each approval or denial is signed on the phone and sent to us with its time; we keep it as a security record of your account. The private key never leaves the phone.
  • Notifications: to send sign-in requests and the alerts you chose, we store your phone's push token. A notification carries only a reference, never a code or the sign-in number.
  • Camera: used only to scan a QR code when you link the phone or add an authenticator account. No photos or video are taken or sent.
  • Face ID, fingerprint or passcode: checked by your phone's operating system; the app only learns whether the check passed.
  • Location: Android and iOS treat reading the Wi-Fi network name as location access. The app asks for it only to show the network name in the network tools, only while the app is open. Your location is not stored or sent.
  • Network tools: scans, pings, lookups and tests run only when you start them, on the network you are connected to; results stay on the phone. A speed test exchanges test data with our servers and nothing is kept. A Wi-Fi survey you save is sent to Netro IQ under your account, with the readings you took and the site you chose.

Unlinking the phone (in the app or under your account in the Dashboard) ends its access and deletes its push token; the record that the phone was linked (its name, public key and approvals) is kept as a security record of your account. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored on the phone. To delete your account itself, email info@inetro.net or ask your organisation's administrator. Legal basis: performing our agreement with you or your organisation, and our legitimate interest in keeping your account secure.

How long we keep it

  • Contact and chat messages: as long as needed to handle your question and any follow-up, and no longer than two years after the last contact, unless they become part of a customer relationship.
  • Account data: for as long as the account exists; it is deleted or anonymised after the account is closed, except where the law requires us to keep records (for example invoices, seven years under Dutch tax law).
  • Security logs: as long as needed to protect the service, normally no more than twelve months.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We only use it for advertising measurement when you allow marketing cookies (see above). We use a small number of service providers that process data for us: Cloudflare (hosting, security, analytics), Google (fonts, Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google sign-in if you choose it), Microsoft (email, and Microsoft sign-in if you choose it) and our payment provider. Some of them are based in the United States; transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We only disclose data to authorities when the law requires it.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, access inside Inetro is limited to people who need it, and secrets such as API keys are stored encrypted. See Security for how to report a problem.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to receive a copy, to limit its use, or object to it, by emailing info@inetro.net. We answer within one month. If your data is in an app your organisation uses, we may pass your request to your organisation, which decides on it. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

We update this statement when what we collect changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
